A year long monthly series of discovery learning different knit patterns, and how to join them into an afghan. You’ll create a knitted square featuring a pattern covering various techniques including: cables, leaves, woven patterns, slip stitch, textured, geometric, and bobbles. After you’ve created all the blocks, we’ll cover borders, joinery and blocking. After that, we’ll have a year end “afghan reveal party” to show off all your hard work!

Materials: One skein of yarn (Cascade 220 Superwash, Bergere de France Magic, Kashmir Aran, or Super Aussie), stitch markers, tape measure, and medium range of needles sizes 5 – 8.
Required skills: Cast on, cast off, knit & purl.
