Magic loop demystified! Learn to knit in the round without using double pointed needles (dpns). Circular needles can be used for all your knitting in the round projects, down to the smallest items, such as hats, mittens, and socks. Even i-cord can be done on circs!

Required skills: advanced beginner (cast on, knit & purl).
Required materials: any smooth worsted weight yarn with a good twist (we suggest Cascade 220), one stitch marker, circular needles in a size appropriate for the yarn (US 6, 7, or 8 suggested), length of circular needles no less than 40”. We strongly suggests the use of a quality brand, which will have supple cables, such as Addis, Knit Picks, Kollage, or ChiaoGoo.
